I wanted to send you a couple pictures, and let you know that your guitar has become the staple, and my main acoustic over the last year. I literally don't leave without it! It's not only an amazing instrument, but a beautiful piece of art. Besides doing my own thing here in Los Angeles, I primarily work with other artists as musical director and sideman. The guitar has always been a conversation piece, and performed the job beautifully. In the studio, the guitar produces a rich and balanced tone that records so well, I now get specific requests to bring "that" guitar. Live, I rely on the guitar to make any sound system, sound better! Anyway, a few pics, and a couple of websites for the artists I currently work with. Thanks Bruce.

Erick Cole is a musician/songwriter originally from Nashville. In 1999, recently graduated from Belmont University, and in typical tight-knit Nashville fashion, the debut CD of Erick’s band OTHER ended up in the ears of Christian music powerhouse dc Talk. One thing led to another, and Erick began co-writing and recording with vocalist Kevin Max. That partnership lead to a Grammy win—their song “Be” on the Rock Gospel Album of the Year Solo EP by dc talk. Erick spent the next few years touring the world with Kevin Max, as well as writing and playing on his next two projects. Through that relationship, he also had the opportunity to work with the renowned guitarist Adrian Belew, co-writing and earning the title “multi-instrumentalist’ by playing the unusual instruments balalaika and theremin on Belew’s Side Two record. . He has performed and recorded with Polydor artist Richard Swift, worked on a film score at Skywalker Ranch (for independent film Dear Mr. Cash, nominated for best score at the Nashville Film Festival), continued to play shows with Kevin Max, toured with Brenton Brown, and has had an ongoing artistic collaboration with worship leader Travis Taylor. Besides currently co-producing projects for other artists, he also recently formed a band with two close friends and fellow musicians called Brown Sugar Sinks. They are currently finishing their debut recording.

Currently residing in Los Angeles, his aim, he says, is to maintain the diversity in his career.

“I equally enjoy everything I do, whether it’s touring, songwriting, recording … I like them all. Music is a business as much as anything else, but the ability to diversify keeps it fresh.”

When asked about career "highlights" so far, quickly coming to mind was a beyond-amazing show at the Royal Albert Hall in London (with Brenton Brown) in 2007, which also included The African Children's Choir. Although, sometimes, it’s just about the simple enjoyment derived from playing his guitars at home, at church, in the studio, or in front of an audience.
